The Digby Tap - Sherborne's Only Free House

A murder of Quality

David John Moore Cornwall more famously known as novelist John Le Carré disliked Sherborne School so much that he staged a nervous breakdown to persuade his illustrious father to send him to a Swiss university.

Strange then, when his second novel to include George Smiley " A Murder of Quality" was to be filmed, Sherborne was chosen as the Town to film this classic novel.

Casting around for a local pub that could reasonably be taken back in time to the era of the novel, to film a scene, the crew found the Digby Tap. Move that Fruit machine, coat of paint - looks good!
Time Gentlemen please.
